Flat for rent - Budapest

One of the nicest apartments in one of the nicest parts of the city with a beautiful big garden right in front of it. You are stepping out into the greenery full of flowers and trees while you are in the middle of the city. All you can see among the trees, are two beautiful church towers with bells, and a century old school in the distance.
Our very bright home is a spacious two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor, with windows facing East, West and South too. It is the only flat in the house with its own direct entrance from the garden (there are 6 other apartments in the building which was built in the 1960s - the entrance of those are on the other side of the house).
In the Master Bedroom our large bed (with a 2x2 meters coconut mattress) is facing a spectacular Balinese stone bath tub we just love ever since it's here. From the Master Bedroom opens an extra bathroom with toilet and sink. There is another bathroom (with a shower, toilet and sink), very close to the Guest Bedroom (with sofa bed) - at the moment we use it as a storage room where our guests can also store their suitcases. Our home is perfect for a couple - or for a small family like ours, with a maximum of two small children.
You look at the garden through the apartment's huge panoramic windows from the heart of the apartment, our spacious American kitchen. It's equipped with beautiful wooden built-in units and a long table which can seat up to 8 guests. In one corner of this lively space there is a study, in the other one a big daybed, providing perfect little hides to find work&life balance even while in home office. You can enjoy the same sunny garden views from the winter garden and from the living room too.
Half of the apartment's furnitures is from our travels around the world from Bali to Transylvania, while the other half was tailor made to create this hidden stylish gem in Budapest, hopefully your home away from home. For us it is always a great pleasure to return here, regardless which amazing place of this planet we are coming back from.

Neighbourhood:

Gellérthegy (Gellért Hill) is so quiet and green, yet still in the heart of the city - it's rather its lung. We are in one of the most calm and peaceful streets, surrounded by nature. Our garden has a 70-year-old sycamore tree, a fig tree and beautiful flowers including 100 roses (too see them blooming you need to come in May).
It is so close to downtown that you can easily walk home from the centre if you don't want to hop on the tram or the subway for just a few stops. But you might skip the other side of the river Danube altogether, as right below our quiet Gellért Hill a fantastic neighbourhood emerges: some of the best cafes of town, galleries, restaurants, artisan patisseries - all this just 5-10 minutes walk away from our home which is in a quiet and beautiful little street. In 5 minutes you are on the tram (41,47,49,61) or on the subway (M4) while the closest mall Allee is also just 7 minutes walk away. If you want you can walk all day on the hill and listen to the birds, or you can discover vibrant Budapest from this hidden peaceful oasis as your own base. It's up to you - either way, you will enjoy it enormously.
