This has been the worst stay ever. Firstly, the apt is super noisy. Its very near the main train station (Campanha) and the bedroom is right above the main road which means you hear all the traffic super loudly in the flat, so much that you cant even open the windows as you cant hear anything, let alone sleep properly. Secondly, there is barely any storage in the flat, the landlord left one set of towels for my 18 nights stay, half a toilet roll, and one bedding. This would be ok if there was a washing machine in the flat, but when i asked for the second set he told me to go and use the laundrymat nearby, which I refused so only then he sent his cousing to bring extra bedsheets and towels. Then, the building key was dodgy and didnt work properly which put me in a very uncomfrortable situation right before my meeting that i couldnt enter the building. After that he gave me a code for the building so the whole thing could have been prevented. Then came the electricity problems, one whole day i had continuous cuts both water and electricity, which was the building wide fault. Again massive inconvenience for me and my work. For that he originally agreed to pay a refund of 15% which then he decided to condition if only if i pay 30 eur for a small carpet damage that accidentally happened during my stay. I agreed to pay this but the 15% he stilll hasnt paid back and is continuing to be problematic about it. I never had such bad experience with any landlord so far.

Stay away ! From the fire alarm going off day and night to the host, not responding to calls and emails, the bed slept very hot, when you plug the iron in the wall, the electricity would go off. and you have an iron with no ironing board? Then we had a refund issue with the host that took weeks and weeks to resolve and still not to our satisfaction. The host refunded the amount that he saw fit not that the amount that Flato agreed on again a terrible experience. The only positive thing it’s a good location..

The accommodation itself was fine, but unfortunately, my experience with the host made my stay very unpleasant.
Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with the host. After I left, the host accused me of leaving the house dirty and even asked me to pay an additional cleaning fee, which I found completely unfair and inaccurate.
I always kept the house clean and tidy during my stay, and I also cleaned the common areas before leaving. I have photos and videos showing the condition of the house after I cleaned it.
If you decide to book this place, I strongly recommend taking photos and videos of the house before and after your stay, just to protect yourself from any potential disputes regarding cleaning.

The flat itself was OK ; it’s quite spacious and relatively new. The bathroom is nice and everything works very well. The huge problem we had was that the flat was filthy when we arrived. Everything was very dusty, there was hair lying about everywhere, and the floor was greasy and sticky. Even after a thorough clean using a steam cleaner, we couldn’t get rid of that feeling on the floor. The worst part was the smell in the flat. We had to clean the inside of the host’s cupboard, which was greasy and yellow; that helped a bit, but if you don’t air the place out for a day, the foul smell comes back. We were very disappointed on arrival and received only a small financial compensation from Chill Hills (the property manager), which wasn’t worth the effort we put in to keep the place reasonably clean.
What’s more, the advert stated that there was a free parking space a one-minute walk away, but we were surprised to find, upon arrival after a 13-hour drive, that this was no longer the case. Parking spaces in the neighbourhood have become chargeable at night on weekdays. Fortunately, we were able to find a solution using our business parking permit. However, we still had to pay for parking on a few occasions. Despite the fact that this error was reported to the agency back in May, I can see that the parking facility is still listed in the advert.

The bed sheets provided were dirty and the wrong size; we had to buy some in a hurry when we arrived so we could sleep.
Afterwards, there were several communication issues with the Chill Hills team; no one was there to meet us when we arrived at the flat or when we left, and we never managed to get in touch with them – we just left the keys in the flat and that was that.
In conclusion, the flat itself was fine, but we kept finding disgusting things in it for weeks on end – the shower drain was blocked, a wardrobe was mouldy… It has great potential, but the management and cleanliness need to improve significantly.

Look Elsewhere.

1. Filthy arrival: The house was covered in dust absolutely everywhere.
2. Broken AC remote: The AC remote barely functioned, making it easier to just go without *in the summer*
3. Broken fan: The home owner didn't bother to check if the fan was working before my arrival *in the summer*
4. Undeclared noise: Constant, loud construction outside all night long making the home unlivable.
5. ⚠️Electrical hazards: A faulty outlet destroyed my travel adapter. The host refused to fix the wiring, tried to blame my adapter, and lied to Flatio by claiming the outlets were repaired despite a WhatsApp conversation showing otherwise.
6. Absent management: I never spoke to or met the actual host. Communication was entirely through their son/grand child, who had zero authority to resolve any issues.
7. No support: Flatio was unhelpful, would not look at my screenshots, and sided with the host. When offered a mutual lease termination, the host predictably refused, leaving me out of pocket.
Avoid this property.

Cockroaches in the bathroom, the shower was leaking, the bedroom was hot while the kitchen was cold, and there was no vacuum cleaner. The bathroom tap was also leaking, and it took 15 days out of 30 to fix it, even though according to the agreement it should have been fixed within 5 days.

The apartment code was also given to other people, and it was very uncomfortable to realize that someone was trying to enter our apartment in the middle of the night.

The apartment is spacious and the bed is comfortable. However, it is very noisy even with the windows closed. There is a dumpster near the entrance, and people are constantly searching through it, making it difficult to enter the building.

The landlord responded quickly, but don’t expect any actual changes. Was it worth €1,000? Probably not. The good thing is that it is close to the metro, but the shops are far away.

There were also very loud sounds, like the building was falling apart. When a truck passes nearby, the whole building shakes. The internet didn’t work in the bedroom; 1 Mbps is basically nothing. On the sofa, it was 113 Mbps download and 75 Mbps upload. The kitchen tap has very high water pressure, which causes water to splash everywhere.

I spent almost a year in this accommodation. I had many bad surprises and the accommodation isn't in the best shape. It is indeed well-located near the university; however, it is not worth the price listed on Flatio. Furthermore, the landlord agreed to compensate for the two months that I didn't had wifi in the apartment and nothing had been done .... So I do not recommend this accommodation.

Honestly, the apartment is very poorly equipped. It lacks things that, in my opinion, are basic necessities, but which the host seems to consider "extras," such as a bathroom mat, a toothbrush holder, a toilet brush, or even a broom. Considering that these apartments are intended for medium- to long-term stays, I find this quite absurd.
Furthermore, the dryer is not available inside the apartment for guests' use. Instead, it is located in a basement (which feels somewhat unsanitary) and is shared by the entire building—there is only one dryer for 20 apartments. It would at least make sense to provide a laundry basket to carry clothes back and forth, but not even that is available.
There is also no bed linen replacement service. As a result, not only is doing laundry inconvenient, but if you want to wash your sheets, you have to plan ahead and potentially lose a whole day waiting for the shared dryer to become available when you need it.
If you're staying for a month, you can manage, but I can't imagine staying any longer. What surprised me most is that it isn't cheap to rent. Other than that, the location is fine, and having the shopping mall nearby is convenient.

We had several issues with the apartment related to cleanliness, maintenance and the availability of advertised amenities such as the pool. The host was responsive but ultimately the resolution required mediation via Flatio. Future guests should double check pool availability for their specific dates before booking as there are restrictions that are not made clear when booking.

HOST'S REPLY:

We appreciate the tenants review.

The only issue during his stay was the temporary unavailability of the shared community swimming pool for part of his stay. This was due to an exceptional maintenance issue before the official opening of the swimming pool season in Valencia and was not the result of any permanent or undisclosed restriction. The pool was fully operational from the official opening of the season, and the guest was able to use it for the remainder of his stay.

Although we were under no obligation to provide any compensation, we offered a refund to show our goodwill. The statement that “the resolution required mediation via Flatio” does not fully reflect the course of events. Flatio became involved only after an excessive compensation request was made by the tenant. Prior to that, we had proposed a goodwill refund on several occasions which was rejected and only accepted after Flatio involvement. The final refund provided was exactly the same amount as our original offer.

Finally, we would like to clarify that there were no cleanliness issues with the apartment. The goodwill refund related solely to the temporary unavailability of the shared community pool for part of his stay.

While we regret that the pool was temporarily unavailable for part of his stay, we believe the overall rating does not fairly reflect the quality of the apartment or our efforts to resolve the matter in good faith.

The common areas of the apartment suffer from an imminent collapse of a ceiling. Communication from the landlord's side has been non-existent. He also failed, despite promises, to return prepaid rent. The Flatio support team failed entirely to resolve the situation and attempted to trick me into signing a waiver that would give up my claim on the prepaid rent after I terminated the lease for cause.
For the size of service fee paid I would hope that they at least make a basic effort to resolve the situation without the neccesity of a lawsuit.

Paperthin walls and loud indian neighbors that fight daily, their baby cries and screams for hours every day.
Internet was down for 5-6 days in total during the 6 weeks I stayed there.
Cockroaches in the apartment: 9 different times
Lost 900€ in wages due to the internet problem. No one compensated me, not even Flatio themselves in any shape or form.

Disappointing stay: poor cleanliness and lack of care

I cannot recommend this flat due to major issues with cleanliness and communication. Upon arrival, the entire place was covered in dust. When I messaged the host with pictures to ask about the cleaning situation, the response was incredibly dismissive: "Ah, I just painted so left the windows open because of the smell." There was absolutely no apology or effort to fix it. He also mentioned that the cleaning is 50 euros if I needed it.

To make matters worse, I found the washing machine completely full of dirty towels and bed sheets. Additionally, the apartment gets virtually no natural light and is very dark throughout the entire day.

On top of the poor hygiene, the host constantly messaged me asking to enter and view the apartment because he was trying to sell it. Between the lack of basic preparation, the hygiene issues, the constant disruptions, and the host's indifferent attitude, it was a very uncomfortable experience.

Dear Flatio,
I have always tried to follow all legal procedures and fulfill my obligations properly. When I received the invoices that were presented to me, I paid them in full.

Later, I received a notification stating that I had an outstanding balance of €34. As soon as I saw it, I contacted both your office and the apartment owner because I did not understand what this charge was for. Unfortunately, I did not receive any response from either side. The apartment owner even told me that I did not owe anything.

As a result, I assumed that this might have been a technical or administrative error, and time passed without any clarification.

More recently, however, the apartment owner accused me of being dishonest and unwilling to pay. I find this unfair and difficult to understand. The amount in question is very small and could have been resolved immediately if I had been properly informed. It was never my intention to avoid any payment.

What disappointed me most was that, instead of first clarifying the situation, I was insulted and judged without any investigation of the facts. I believe that in situations like this, there is no need for accusations or personal attacks. We should treat each other with respect, kindness, and understanding.

Despite being offended by these accusations, I still apologized for the misunderstanding and the situation that arose. In the end, everyone’s actions speak for themselves.

I wish everyone the best and hope that we can all treat one another with courtesy and respect.

Best regards,
Fazylbek

The apartment itself and the location are excellent—it's a quiet neighborhood. However, there are a few drawbacks:
The refrigerator wasn’t working. Since I stayed alone, I just ate out, but I still believe a fridge is an absolute necessity. In response to my requests, the landlord sent a technician. The technician mentioned he was already aware of the problem from a previous visit and stated that the fridge simply needs to be replaced. He said he would inform the landlord, but that was the end of it—the issue was never resolved.
The internet is weak and constantly disconnects. I relied on my mobile data, but if you work from home, this is definitely a dealbreaker.
Overall, the apartment is suitable for a short trip to Gdańsk due to its wonderful location in a quiet area. However, if you are a digital nomad looking to rent for a month or so, you should skip this place.
P.S. At the beginning of each month, they change the code on the entrance door without warning you. This was another "pleasant" surprise when I couldn't get inside the apartment in the evening.
P.P.S. The host doesn't use WhatsApp, so you have to call a Polish phone number and wait a long time for anyone to answer.

Would love to have given a higher rating, but sadly we had a few issues when moving in. Firstly, the bathrooms were still dirty, with stains and nail clippings on the floor. We also had a mould problem in our cupboard that wasn’t resolved in the 6 weeks of our stay; this meant we couldn’t use our master bedroom cupboard. Although they did send cleaners to clean the bathrooms, nothing was done about the mould.

i clean 4 hours just to get it nice. it was hashstains on the floor and very dirty, i have photos of it if you want to see. and a real bad smell that you could taste in the air from the drains so i have to plug them when im not using. When i moved in i tried to book one week earlier of flatio in another room but he told me to send him money not to the site and that also wasnt clean, dust and hair all over the floor and he promised me that i was suppose to get a clean room in the switch but he sent in the cleaner 8 hours after i moved in so i did it myself because i had to work and the old room he rented out, so i had to choose of waiting to move in 8-9 hours after i was suppose to move in or clean by myself. It moved in a family with a newborn that screams all night. I woke up 6 times this night of noise from baby and the rules say that it is suppose to be quiet after 20:00, but they cook food and stuff until 00:00. Kitchen fan is also dripping oil from and the oven is so discusting and all pots and fryingpans are so bad, flat looks really good on the photo but in real life i think its not healthy to live here.

i asked if i could have some money back because of the cleaning and he said to me that the budget wasnt enough, and he paid for cleaner that not clean the room, very special. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and i asked 2 girls who moved in and he had mixed up with rooms and stuff so this man who is dealing with this apartment have proven that hes not a man in the right place and doing very bad advertisement for your site.

I dont know how he thinks when it say 2 persons per room but take in 2 person and a baby when we are younger people who lives here probably he should try match, its insane this. I have not feel comfurtable here in almost 2 weeks now because of them, I would like to have some money back from this because this is crazy, im suppose to be able to sleep in the night in my home...

And i wrote a message to the host and he said he was going to pay me back for these days but after that he did not say anything more. Im so angry because i almost had to pay 300 euros more because of this for having a home that im able to sleep in, very unsatisfied and probably never will use this site again and spread the word if i dont get money back for these days or a whole month.

HOST'S REPLY:
Dear All,

I am writing to provide context regarding the negative review left by a tenant who recently completed a 5-month stay at my property.

From the beginning of the booking, there were several issues:

1. Early Check-in & Room Switch: Prior to the contract start date, the tenant requested to check in one week early. Since his booked room was occupied, I arranged a temporary room. He agreed to a slightly higher rate to cover the last-minute professional setup costs and paid directly without objection.
2. Unfounded Cleaning Complaint: On the day of the room switch, the tenant refused to wait a few hours for the professional cleaner to finish the target room. Then despite the effective appointment of the cleaner, he claimed having cleaned the room himself and demanded a refund equal to his first week's rent. After reviewing the photos he provided, Flatio Support concluded that his complaint was unfounded. I offered ( by writing with Flatio CC'ed ) to this customer terminate the contract on day 1 due to his dissatisfaction, but he refused, explicitly stating he would stay the full 5 months and leave a negative review.
3. Payment Issues: The tenant consistently paid his rent late, claiming his salary was issued mid-month. He only began paying on time after receiving official warnings from Flatio.
4. Disturbances: His heavy marijuana smoking resulted in multiple written complaints from roommates, leading to 11 emails exchanged between Flatio, the tenant, and myself regarding potential contract termination.

One month before his departure he tenant recommended the apartment to one of his colleague.
On the 29.03.2026, his colleague also initiated a booking request via Flatio.
Given the behavior and context, I declined this booking request.

I thank Flatio for their support in this matter and for removing the personal data previously leaked in the review section.

Best regards,

Constant

Overall price/value of the apartment is low in my opinion. Despite stated in the ad, the entry to the apartment is not truly independent as owners use for passing to hang clothes in the patio. There is no door in the kitchen, so it is open towards the entry door and it is in a common space with owner's kitchen (separated with a slide door), therefore you would hear everything from their side. When I pointed this out politely (with some simple fix, like a curtain for the kitchen) owner became defensive and quite passive agressive. I believe there must be a cultural difference regarding expectations (e.g. for independent entry). The entry door leads to a small elevator in the patio, unfortunately it went wrong twice during my stay, so could not use this door (no connection to stairs), and was obliged to ask to be let out and in through the owner's flat for 2 weeks, very uncomfortable. The flat is on the first floor and looking to a small, closed patio floor, therefore very dark. Some things are only for decor in the flat (standing lamp, a fridge, the piano). However, if you do not spend much time in the flat, it could be ok and probably during summer heat the patio darkness might be even good. Note that this apartment is indeed within a big apartment in a big block house on first floor.
