This is not an ordinary flat. This is a solution.

For those of us who work remotely, staying at the top of our game is what matters most – and that's about body and mind, not just internet speed. Time here helps with both.

The apartment sits on the edge of Ojców National Park, 20 km from the centre of Kraków, with trails of every difficulty level right at the doorstep. That means that even on a heavy work day you can fit in a short but demanding run before your first Teams or Zoom call at 8 am. Be warned: Małopolska is all hills and valleys, so a 30-minute jog here means 150 metres of ascent and descent – enough to noticeably improve your VO2 max within a few weeks.

Try what I call the "short 5 km loop". Honestly, I still haven't managed it without stopping. I keep trying anyway – if only for the views. It is beeeeaaaautiful! And if you're good enough to make it all the way round – don't worry, there are 20 km loops waiting for you too :P

HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE – EVEN WITHOUT TIME OFF

That's the whole "Nine to Trail" idea. Work until 4 or 5 pm and fifteen minutes after closing your laptop you can be walking the trails of the National Park. No holiday required.

NO LONGER GUILTY OF BEING ONLINE

We travel with our loved ones whenever we can, and we know the feeling: they sit and wait for you to finish so the day can finally begin. Not here. From Wielka Wieś, the National Park, the Old Town and museums of Kraków, amusement parks and Oświęcim are all within similar, easy reach. And if they'd rather stay in, 120 square metres and a separate office for you mean they can have a full day at home while you work in peace.

YOUR HOME-OFFICE PERFORMANCE, 100% MAINTAINED

We are professionals too, and we know being away is no excuse for performing worse. So you get what you'd have at home: 800 Mbps fibre internet, a height-adjustable desk, [two] external monitors, and professional video lighting – in a separate room with a door that closes.

STAYING FOR A MONTH OR LONGER?

This is a place to live, not just to visit, so here's what daily life looks like:

Safety: Wielka Wieś is a very safe, close-knit village. We're friends with our neighbours, children play outside, and honestly, we often don't even bother locking the door. You'll feel the difference from the city within a day.
Getting around: you will need a car here – the village is spread out and the trails, shops and Kraków are all a drive away. Kraków city centre is 20 km (about 30 minutes), Kraków Airport about 12 minutes. Free private parking is on site.
Everyday shopping: Lewiatan grocery store 2 km away (a 3-minute drive or a pleasant 20-minute walk), Lidl in Modlnica about 10 minutes by car.
Family life: plenty of public and private schools and kindergartens in the area, playgrounds in the village and neighbouring ones, and the National Park as your back garden.
The flat over time: washing machine, dishwasher, fully equipped kitchen, heating for winter and a mobile air-conditioning unit for hot summer days, balcony and terrace. Pets are welcome at no extra charge.
Host: I work remotely myself and am reachable the same day if anything needs fixing.
